JuneOne Publishing Hub Launches Children’s Book Press
LADERA RANCH, CA, November 4, 2004 — JuneOne Publishing Hub, an independent press specializing in quality picture books, announced today the launch of its new company. JuneOne Publishing Hub strives to bring superior literature to children and in turn begin a lifelong love of reading.
The first day of June, which is annually recognized as International Children’s Day in the United States, is an inspiration for the company name. Every year, this day is dedicated to the enlightenment and celebration of youth.
”Children inspire us, and that is why we have incorporated this day into our name,” Soumya Das, founder and publisher of JuneOne Publishing Hub, said. “Simply, we never want to forget who we create for, what we work for, and why we do what we do.”
In an effort to share a love of reading with children, JuneOne Publishing Hub supports works that bring education to the world’s youth. The company currently helps to educate underprivileged children in third world countries. A portion of proceeds is donated to a project that provides basic education and increases literacy levels for children in these nations.
In January 2005, JuneOne Publishing Hub will publish five new picture book titles, including Munchy Mouse, Oomph-Pa-Pa at the Circus, Coo Coo Duckling, Swinging Under the Stars, and The Red Spotted Balloon.
“We want to challenge young minds and interest children in reading,” Das said of JuneOne’s audience. “We believe we can enlighten children through words of learning and inspire creativity through pictures of imagination. Picture books are one of the best means to do this.”
A JuneOne Production is an imprint of JuneOne Publishing Hub. The press plans to print between 5-10 titles annually.
